FAQ's

Do I need a full bladder? How much water should I drink?

No you do not need a full bladder, for the best possible images, hydration is key. We recommend to stay hydrated a week before and on the day of your appointment, as good overall hydration helps create a clearer window for viewing your baby. Well-hydrated mums = beautiful, clear pictures.

Is this scan diagnostic?

No. All sessions at Little Lamb Imaging are purely non-diagnostic.
We do not assess growth, anatomy, or health — our focus is on creating a bonding experience and generating beautiful keepsake images.
Please continue to attend all routine medical and diagnostic appointments with your healthcare provider.

Where do I park?

There is plenty of free parking available at the rear of the building, located in the Creative Homes car park on Glynburn Road. Simply drive in, park, and walk straight through to our studio.

Can I bring family or friends to my session?

Absolutely. We encourage you to share this special moment with loved ones.
Our studio is designed to be comfortable, welcoming, and spacious enough for guests to enjoy the experience with you.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear something comfortable and easy to lift around your tummy — dresses, loose tops, and stretchy clothing work best.

We also recommend avoiding heavy lotions or oils on your belly on the day, as they can reduce image clarity.

When is the best time to book a 3D/4D scan?

Every stage has its own charm, but most families love:

  • 25–30 weeks for chubby cheeks and detailed facial features

  • 16–22 weeks for lots of movement and full-body shots

  • If you're unsure, we’re happy to guide you based on what you'd love to see.

What if my baby doesn’t cooperate on the day?

If your baby is feeling shy, in a tricky position, or hiding behind the placenta or cord, don’t worry — it happens!

We will always do our best to encourage movement, and if needed, we offer a complimentary rescan to give you another chance at beautiful images.
